It is not clumsy it is brilliant. Not all events needs to be laden with
multiple restrictions and 35cm has been flown by these simple rules for
many years. It is one of the few indoor events left that allow complete
creativity to the builder as they only have to satisfy the monoplane and
wingspan rules. I personally am much more interested in flying F1R than
the current restrictive rules used in F1D and F1M.
