Hi All,
For the US F1D flyers that were opposed to the proposal, I'm sorry it went the way it did. Bob Brown was instructed to vote against it (and presumably did so) and he was armed with the argument crafted and signed by Joshua Finn, Mike Kirda, Nick Ray, Brett Sanborn and Chuck Slusarczyk. The FF reps from all voting countries were also sent the reasoning for their consideration but the majority obviously disagreed. I would like to thank the above mentioned gentlemen for stepping up to the plate and taking an active part in trying to represent the US flyer's position. Despite the disappointment, well done.

Hi Ben and All,
Breaking indoor news of today from Lausanne:
Championships:
The ECh 2015 and the WCh 2016 was awarded to Romania.
Romania also put in a bid for the ECh 2017, this is to be decided at the 2015 Plenary.
Rules:
The rule proposal (0.4 g rubber and 1.4 g model weight) was adopted with high majority (22/8).
Effective from: January 1, 2015.
The discussion on Brett's reflight after the end of the last round in the mine led to a Bureau proposal clarifying the collision rule (adopted unanimously), see the following unofficial text:
3.4.6 Collision Rule
In the event of a collision between two models in flight, each competitor must choose, in the time span between the collision and two minutes following the termination of his flight, either to retain the time of flight as an official time, or to have a reflight. The competitor has the right to refly even if the round time expires in the meantime or the collision happens after the end of the round. The reflight must be flown before his next official flight. In case of the last round of the event, when there are no more official flights, the reflight should be launched within one hour of the end of the round.
Best regards
Andras

Hi Andras,
Hope all is well. Could you please update me with the status of the cancellation by Serbia, and if any news has been issued about the possible rules changes? I would like to get that information together for the film.
It was great seeing you in the mine this past WC as always. I hope to be back soon as a competitor.
Best,
Ben
