Super Sport rubber for F1D?

I've recently begun thoroughly organizing my rubber and I'm realizing that
I'll be out of the 2 batches I have (8/93 and 2/99) within a year or two.
 I've heard a lot of conflicting info on Super Sport rubber, but I'm hoping
to find some sort of consensus. Are any of the currently available batches
viable for F1D? It doesn't need to be as good as 5/99, but I'd like get
some rubber that's at least as good as the rubber I have left. Finding
something that doesn't explode in flight is also a bonus.
