As a self-described indoor elitist why would your opinion matter? How many
guys are there like you in the U.S.? Thirty? Step back for a moment and ask
yourself if you thirty extremists from about 25 states can sustain a hobby.
Think hard about that. Meanwhile there are hundreds of casual indoor FFers
who I suspect do not like what indoor has become. Who is right? I guess the
marketplace will decide.

You guys are like a boutique retailer specializing in only Gucci handbags at
full price. But only canary yellow Gucci handbags. Your market space is too
small and this is compounded by a dearth of customers.

How would a random sampling of NFFS guys have any clue or insight into
indoor if they don't actually participate?

Thats why we ask them if they participate or not, then correlate that to the
responses. Market research 101.

A lot of guys that fly outdoor have zero interest in indoor. Are they
supposed to know why or if indoor is "ailing"?

Right.

And to that end I actively dislike what outdoor has become without a BOM
rule. Does that mean I should speak on behalf of the outdoor guys even
thought I don't fly outdoor?]

You lost me. AMA Outdoor FF does have BOM rule.

I respectfully disagree Mike. The responses from this survey will be
invaluable to the newly-formed NFFS Indoor Committee as they build an agenda
for upcoming discussions.

This thread starting to get silly and non-constructive, guys. Shouldn't you
be sharing tips on building your next (F1D, insert your poison here) or
securing the next great flying site?
