Agree with you. This is how our principiant (P-25) class is.
In the biggining rules included wood sizes, shapes and big
etcetera. Later, to make it a really begginer class rules was
simplified to:

2 grams min weight. 25cm max wingspan, 7.5cm max chord.
Solid balsa motorstick, distance between hooks 16 cm.
Flat prop blades, max prop diameter 16cm , no microfilm.

Pretty simple :)

Im interested in A-6 because seems a lot harder than our P-25,
and I belive can make some experience playing with an A-6.

BTW.. what is the begginers class acording to AMA?
(if there is one)
