Nikon coolshot 20

Hi, this is a question that, I believe, Leo P best can answer.
I know that the Nikon Coolshot 40i works for us for measuring height of our
models. Nikon carries also a cheaper model Coolshot 20. Do you know if the
laser reflects properly against the film we are using? It is quite
cheaper that the 40i and 80i.
