I recently received this message from a student in Las Vegas. He gave me permission to share his information here. I'm tooling up to send him a LPP kit but he would really benefit from some in person help getting ready for the Nats. Also I think he's got a decent shot at F1D team selection if we get him a good mentor or two.
Here's his initial contact to me:
"Hi Josh,
Currently, I am a competitor in Wright Stuff for science olympiad. While it has been an awesome season for us this year (1st at two invitationals so far: MIT and Berkeley), I think my coach (James Miller) has contacted you as well. I will probably not be flying wright stuff after the states competition (two weeks).
Because of this, I would like to spend the rest of the time before next season getting into FAI and the true indoor freeflight leagues. What are your recommendations in terms of class of plane i should try?"
