Look back on the discussion on this list withJohn Lorbiecky and you'll see that the entry fees covered the site cost, and thetrophy costs (which better not be a "huge" expense) were well withinthe AMA's budget, as confirmed by Joyce Hager. I know that if one repeats a lie enough times people will start to believeit is true, but that doesn't make it the right thing to do. Be better. Everyone else, History repeats itself. If Don's sentiments reflect those of NFFS and the AMA ("Lightweightflyers" are only 1/5 of an Indoor FF participant, we are derogatory form ofthe label "elite", we have unreasonable demands regarding site quality,etc.), then perhaps we are once again getting to the point where we need to representour own interests, like N.I.M.A.S. did back in the day. Nobody is debating that it is important to boost participation,but it is apparently up to us to make sure that the future of Indoor FF does justiceto its history, and we don't just try to replace it with P-18. I am using my limited vacation time and travel funds to supportKibbie, where we don't have to fly in the dark, all participants are equal and welcome(AMA, FAC, NFFS, etc. [although gliders may have a legitimate beef]), and you can fly whatever you want, whenever you want,for 5 days. Everyone living together inharmony on rolling dandelion covered hills. Kumbaya. And Lakehurst.
