While I do not agree with the logic, I commend the FAI Jury for finally clarifying this issue. Thank you, Leo, for bringing this to their attention.
  
 There is a certain genius in their ruling. It keeps the previous records intact, and removes a significant hurdle for the upcoming World Championships. These are good things.
  
 But it also leaves the door wide open for proposing changes going forward. For example, the BOM Rule is not about adjusting things, it is about building them. The ruling, as it stands, can effectively be applied to any model part, and in fact a complete model (assuming it has not already been trimmed for the site).
  
 This puts the ball squarely back into the court of anyone who wants the Builder of the Model rule to apply. The clear path toward that goal is now through the rule change process.
