The Jury for the 2018 Indoor World Championship has issued the following statement concerning the use of purchased vp hubs at the WC:

"The running thread in the Yahoo group generated uncertainty regarding the usage of purchased VPs at the coming F1D WCh in West Baden. Therefore, Leo Pilachowski, the managing director of the event requested the FAI jury to clear the situation before the event. As the FAI jury has the duty to interpret any rule in case of disputes or doubts, the jury is of the unanimous agreement as follows:

While the VP is an important part of the model in case the available height of the site is limited, a purchased VP is not in RTF state. The usage of such VP needs expertise, measurements and test flights to harmonize its setting with the size and setting of the prop and the rest of the model, rubber, available height and actual conditions in the site. Therefore, the jury agrees to continue the practice applied at several previous championships, i. e. not banning the usage of purchased VP hubs."

Also, for all teams representing countries that do not need visas for travel to the USA (visa waiver program countriessnel), team members still need to have a current ESTA. This was stated in all Bulletins for the WC but we would like to give another reminder. If team members do not have a current ESTA, application is done on-line as stated in the Bulletins:

Those traveling from the Visa waiver Program countries still need to obtain authorization through the
Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) prior to boarding a U.S. bound air or sea carrier:
