I think the original intent was to avoid damage to F1D's that competitors
have brought here from far off places. But now there is apparently going to
be a new class of models that will probably only be built by beginners.How
heavy will the models be? How fast will they fly? What will the props look
like and what will the RPM's be? There will be no control over any of these
factors. If models other than F1D are to be flown it should be a recognized
current FAI class - i.e. F1M or F1L - or even better restrict the contest
to only F1D as was originally planned.
