Indoor progression

I think part of the issue here is simple: There are more paths and potential outcomes in Indoor than many other hobbies.

Not everyone is interested in flying F1D, so an F1D Junior event isn't going to be appropriate for all.

I think back to when I was flying down in Burr Ridge. The local guys flew Bostonians. I was flying LPP. They could do maybe 2 minutes and I was doing six. They were in awe that something could fly that long.
I tried to get them interested, but they weren't. Happy to poke around with borderline outdoor stuff flying indoors. And that is fine.

The point is that there are multiple entry points or beginner paths, not one. And every indoor flyer is important, whether they fly strictly gliders, Coconut scale or F1D. Multiple entry points are good, but we need to understand that not all lead to the same end point. And that is fine.

Let the beginners try various things. Let them see what piques their interest.

Let me also say that I agree entirely with Evan. We need to start creating media that speaks to the way kids learn today.

Regards.
