The contest schedule I had come up was gliders from 10 to noon each day for official flights for the contest. I don't have an issue with a person taking some flights after noon for record attempts but I wanted to give those flying duration models peace of mind knowing a glider would not be in their airspace as well. I know Kang is planning to come for F1D record and I would hate to have an incident of a stray glider hitting a F1D with a person flying from the West coast. Kent is a large site and I do think the number of people coming will be in the 10-15 range so there should be enough space to accommodate some additional glider flying after the noon deadline. What I don't want to happen is one big discuss glider flown in the middle of the site all day consuming the bulk of the airspace. That is why I was looking at a time slot dedicated to gliders.
One option is to add more hours in the morning . It's $125 hour. So gliders can go 8am to noon instead of 10 to noon. If the glider guys want to pay the extra cost I will have the hours adjusted.
