You want newbies flying it with mentors available to pop in and guide them.
You want a simple teachable airframe that they can learn with.
And you want something that they can have fun with but outgrow.
Others point to LPP as the next logical step. I'd point to the Mashup as being even simpler and a good step between P18 and LPP. Yes, they'd have to fly with me, or against me as it were, but I see it as a fun relaxing event. I'd be tickled if a newbie beat me. It's not like I've tried real hard with it, although I probably have the best time so far.
Then on to LPP and you are up against the big boys.
