Hi Vladimir.

I know that Bill posted the official version of the event - My unofficial version follows:

Saturday was, from a light stuff flying perspective, nearly a complete bust. Conditions in the dome were the worst I have ever seen and this was echoed by everyone that I spoke with - No one had ever seen the site be this bad previously.

This is explained by the data. The air at the top of the dome was three to four degrees cooler than at the floor. Outdoors was in the upper-30's to low-40's, cold, rainy and very cloudy. We could see the models react: In general the air was rising at the walls, running up the dome, cooling down and falling the the center. Almost nothing could get past the falling air. Even LPPs was having a really difficult time climbing past 30-40-50 feet.

Sunday morning in the beginning, the air was quite uniform, same temps top and bottom. It stratified over an hour or two, still colder at the top, but it was brighter than Saturday, so we had more solar gain going on. By mid-day, it was only partly cloudy, the air became relatively equal again. By 1PM, the conditions had improved to the point that I would say that the air was decent. Not good. Not great. Decent. People still found downdrafts and thermals, but by watching others you could find where the air was better and launch.

I can post the temperature tracks over both days in INAV if folks are interested.

Regards.
