Sig still lists SIG-MENT on their website. Of course, it's over five dollars for a four ounce tube now. I'm glad I still have a case of it! My main point is that it's similar and available. My local hobby store had some on a shelf next to the other adhesives. Unfortunately, the owner is retiring and closing the store.

I can't remember ever using Duco, though I must have. I've always liked SIG-MENT better than Ambroid (heresy, I'm sure!) It's not so runny, and dries clear. If you want it thinner, I suppose acetone from the hardware store would mix with it. I'm sure you don't squeeze it from the tube directly, so just thin a little in a glass jar, and brush or drop it on as you would Ambroid (and Duco?)
