I think in Vlads case it was the event CDs decision. Loucka had a
monoplane with 20" span stab that was passed processing for at USIC (the
model was lost when hotel cleaning lady threw his box out thinking it
was junk!). The only trouble with the big stab span is if you miss the
wing when steering you can catch the tail easily then the nose drops and
spirals downward or gets stuck on the line pointing straight down
