I’m really surprised that no one is responding to the Kibbe Dome situation has endorsed Ron Williams’ suggestion of obtaining a big time sponsor. It certainly would be worth a try, and all they could do was to say no. And if you got one think of the great PR it would get for indoor. (As a former active indoor flier and 27-year retiree on the oft-heard-of fixed income, for the record I’d have to say no thanks to a $200 entry fee even if the dome was next door.)
For the record- and some of you reading this will recall- I was responsible, back in the day, for obtaining the Buffalo Bills fieldhouse for a series of annual indoor meets. Perhaps had we (the Western New York Free Flight Society) sought an obtained a sponsor the series might still be going.
