I've tried several props for the PF. None has given the performance I could drag out of a Peck 6". By the way, do not leave the hub out of your lightening pursuit. I grind the hubs way down and bush them with hypodermic tubing. Prop shaft should be .020 if you're planning to use .09-.100 rubber, .015 if smaller. I have also used hypo tube for the bearing, and that does save a little weight.
Use good wood for the landing gear. If you have the model trimmed reasonably well, it won't need them to be strong, but if you use punky wood, they do break often.
The motorstick needs to be of reasonable quality, too, as do the wing spars and mounts. Use decent wood on the bearing plate, too. The rest of the model should just be made from the lightest stuff you can find, quality doesn't really matter.
