I would not call it "protest", as it gives me an implication that "I do
not like this, therefore I speak against it". Instead I would point out,
that the proposal was brought out with little time before the CIAM
meeting, and consequently there was not time to discuss the proposal,
its consequences and possible alternatives before the decisive meeting.
Further, the time frame did not leave time for the national indoor
communities to reach conclusion and instruct their representatives in
CIAM meeting how to vote, and as a result the decision was made by a
group of people mostly without personal contact to indoor flying.
Therefore the rule change does not reflect the views of majority of the
indoor FF community (as a proof of which the NN signers of the request).
I would then carry n that "based on these we request that a) CIAM
postpones the enforcement of the rules change until a proper discussion
of the rule change, need for it and possible alternatives is conducted
in the various online forums presently available and widely used by the
indoor FF'ers, and b) as result of these discussions decide what kind of
action will reflect the views of the community once the discussion is done.
