Now I am confused. Earlier this year, I thought at least some Hungarian fliers, whose Hungarian NAC submitted the rule change proposal, supported the rule change after testing with dummy motor spacers on current F1D's in a Cat II site. This comes from the CIAM proposal, the text of which was posted in this group by Tapio on February 5th of this year (post #16582).
So, not all F1D fliers were initially against the rule change. Perhaps Andras Ree can fill us in on more details and the politics behind the CIAM vote.
