Chuck, thank you for service. I we will have to see what comes.
I would like to see the current rules used in competition at least through the NATS this year. I think its late in the year to force people to develop new programs for the summer. However, we could offer a new rules event concurrent with the old rules event. Both events could be counted towards team selection.

Since the current rules are still in force, anyone can fly to those even if some make a "gentle person's agreement." But for some of us, Kent is the last contest before the Nats in Moscow and these two contests are the only two left this year so far for those of us who do not have regular, local contests. I think some accommodation should be made in the "fly often" qualification time to allow those who decide to fly to the future rules the opportunity to post "equivalent" times to those flying on the current rules. I suggested a 1.5 (150%) multiplicative factor. This will take some fairly quick accommodation from the Team Selection Committee.

The same rule proposers did leave out, by either neglect, forgetfulness, or other reasons, that a plane built to the future rules will probably be better than a current rules plane wasting weight on the dummy motor spacer. But at least some, if they desire, can take immediate advantage of a dummy spacer to fly to the future rules, even as soon as Kent.
