Interesting that if the goal is indeed to reduce flight time that the
rubber is further restricted but not the use of VPs. Rubber weight is
only a part of what controls duration, the prop is key to the conversion
of that rubber energy. So to me if the true goal is to reduce duration
you need to increase model weight, reduce rubber allowed, and make a
fixed prop. Heck, why not just go one step further and eliminate the
rubber completely and just glide the models, that will reduce duration,
it will also eliminate the VP hub debate and no one needs to worry about
having good rubber anymore. The only debate will be height of the
contestant launching his model so F1D teams will have NBA players
launching models they bought on the internet :-)
