Sorry my pidgin English, but to me, the sentence above is unbalanced. It
should either read:

"steering should be done from the front end of the model, never from the
back end", or

"steering should be done from the front of the model, never from behind".

And, the current interpretation relies on the latter interpretation. You
can steer from the front (of the wing, or the stab), so you slow the
model, not speed it up?

And then, you are allowed to pull from _behind_ the prop. Oh well.

Maybe the ruling should be stated just to emphasize that changes of the
altitude are not allowed.
