I crinkle it first, then spread it out & attach it to a frame & shrink it. Several times. Then iron it & attach it to the airframe. I do all this in the winter when the humidity is low. In the summer it becomes looser, but I never have any warping problems in the winter when it tightens back up. I attach it with 3M spray adhesive lightly sprayed onto the airframe. If necessary, I sometimes use very diluted rubber cement to attach condenser paper in situations where spraying 3M won't work. Condenser paper can be colored by passing it thru a ink jet printer just like tissue, however the colors are not as bright. I don't know about dyeing.
