Attaching condenser paper?

Just curious what is considered the lightest secure way to attach condenser paper.
Also are folks crinkling it beforehand to reduce potential shrinkage?
Or just trying to attach in in the driest possible setting? Shrink beforehand?
Also is it dye-able?
