The ETSU contact said the banner location was chosen for a) visibility to the West seats, and b) not casting a shadow on the basketball court.

I asked if putting them on the same beam as the scoreboard would work, since that wouldn't cast a shadow and it visible from both sides. From the pictures I've seen of the basketball setup, the court is positioned directly under the scoreboard. Having the banners in-line would make them centered over the floor, which I think would be more aesthetically pleasing.

They said "no", but I'm gently asking again, given that we likely won't be able to keep the contest there otherwise.
