I think it would be great for everyone to write up their own favorite
covering method and post it in the files section like Mark did. Then the
next time the subject comes up we could just refer people to the files
section and let them decide what they want to try instead of rehashing
the same arguments a couple of times every year.

These reports would need an exact measurement of the total weight gain
per square inch of balsa to mylar contact area. (To be worth anything
the mylar to be used should be carefully weighed before applying to the
model since there is a huge variation in film weights.) They should also
include tests on the drying time of 3M77 in various dilutions and with
various solvents and application methods. We could then have an argument
over what units to use in measuring the pull required to make the mylar
to balsa joint fail.
