Now John,All well and good, but what is the mysterious bits of balsa with sandpaper on them with the rubber loop?A wing post rounder offer?

A year or so ago I did a build thread on SFA for an
LPP and I included the two pictures attached here which support the idea of
pushing off the paper tube with another tube. I actually stayed with the
usual 1/16 wire as a mandrel and brass tube. The label 'Tube Roller' is
not just for the photo' it has been on that bit of wire for years. Before
I put on a label I was searching for a smooth clean bit of 1/16 wire every time
I made a tube. In the build thread I mentioned that I thought it better to
run the tissue grain along the length of the tube. That was a recent
discovery for me but from an earlier post on this thread I gather Ray Harlan has
done it for years!
