The tissue is dark blue. I also stuck some strands of carbon tow to the tissue before I rolled them because I've had trouble with tubes from this tissue being too soft.

The last time we were talking about tissue tubes someone suggested using aluminum tubing for the form and then using the next size tubing to push the rolled tubes off of the form. I tried it that way today and can say it worked great. I made my tubes about an inch long and got a perfect tube every time with no waste on the ends. Here's a picture of the tubes, the 1/16" form and the 3/32" removal tool.
