You didn't state what the purpose for the foam is, but if it's for model airplane structures, you want the stiff kind (#1 above?) at least not #2, the foam rubber. But your "unbreakable and flexible" note regarding the white foam seems to indicate that *neither* of above is the material is used in USA for model aiplane parts.
