epp foam identification??

Hi i am staying in India and here i asked for epp foam and they dont know it and they are showing two types of foam.
1.white colour tranparent with tiny pores,similar to thermocol and is unbreakable and flexible.
thickness is 0.2cm to 5cm
2.rubber foam with no pores and very soft and different colours also flexible and not breakable.
thickness is 0.2cm to 0.4cm

now what foam should i choose?please help as i am a beginner
