John,

I agree that indoor will never be the huge spectator sport that baseball is.
There will never be corporate sponsors, unless we all start throwing A to Z
Corp Decals on our No-Cals.

I think that what we need is a self generated program for schools. This will
solve two problems at once:

1) Attract younger participants and perhaps even their parents
2) Allow us to gain regular access to school Gyms to fly in

We should propose an afterschool program which will run similar to a science
class. Many schools are cutting funding for science extra curricular
activities due to budget problems, so this would appeal to the schools. We
would have to run the program based on volunteerism and also work closely
with AMA to have their backing.

If something like this could become self-sustaining and successful it would
open new doors for participation and site availability. This would have to
operate independent from S.O. and could operate as somewhat of a magnet
program for students from many school systems to attend.

I would be interested in progressing this idea further if there is
substantial backing from the indoor community.
