Water seems perfectly OK for OS or PPP for patches made from these materials. For anything heavier, dope thinned to about 10% or less might be better; this seems to be the case for eg Ultrafilm, particularly for taking up slack at dihedral breaks.

I agree, or works temporarily. Water does work for Y2K, Y2K2, possibly
for .9 micron (polymicro)? Someone please jump in here with a supposed
limit.
