I haven't split a rib in several years. But when it was a (small)
problem, it didn't seem to matter A or C grain. Just a matter
of "shaken baby syndrome" (in ground handling.) Still need to try an
Andrews/bent rib hybrid. I hear J Richmond and L Coslick use bent
ribs, at least for the lightweights (hobbyshopper, etc.)
