I have to agree with Bill, we come to fly as much as we can, JC is the only high ceiling site I get to most years. I will add that the group of us that hang out together have never missed a good meal and fellowship after flying ends.

  I've seen MANY events decided in the last hour or even in the last 5
  minutes. While there are undoubtedly some competitors who can put up
  one flight and win an event there are many others who have to hit their
  peak by experimentation through repeated attempts. With events that
  involve long flight times it's even harder to fit 5 or 6 attempts into
  a time bracket. The only place I can think of where time isn't critical
  might be Kibbe.

  Socializing is great but most of us are spending huge sums of money and
  time to get to USIC to fly and compete. Let's keep the slots open as
  long as possible.
