Re: USIC Rules, race to roof, towline glider (A-6 motor stick length)

I'm bringing up this topic again because the incorrectly written USIC A-
6 motor stick rule just caused a problem here at USIC. An A-6 was built
with a motor stick that was 6" long but the hook to hook distance was 6
1/8". The model didn't pass inspection.

Now maybe everyone is supposed to be able to guess the "intent" of the
rules, but when the published text of the rules says something
different from the "intent" of the rules, then it is almost inevitable
that someone is going to fouled up by the discrepancy.

Why would it have been so hard to get this right the first time or
correct it later?
