You're right Tom, guess I should blush - I didn't read the WS rules and
referred to the BLG rules. My point was the rules aren't always so
clear. The chord width of the stabs came up several times with judging
in BLG including discussions about considering the post as part of the
wing. Thanks for pointing out the clarity that exists in the WS rules.
