Hi Marty

I have never had a problem with O rings or lube being weighed or not as long as the enforcement of the rules is across the board for all contestants. Wiping the motor after a flight before weighing seems to be the normal and is important at places like Slanic and Lakehurst where the floors are quite dirty. If anything the processing of models is more stringent at the USA trials and at USIC than at the worlds. Ray Harlan's scales are far superior to what was used at Slanic and there were no complaints, I like the official equipment available to anyone to check their motors and plane before official flights as is usually done at most contests. I always have my motors prepared at home but like to double check on the official scale.

Does this flurry of activity on your part signal a return to active flying?

Fred

In F1D and F1M are the o-rings included in the rubber weight? If not,
do you have to cut off (or untie) the loop to weigh the rubber without
  the o-rings?

  Thanks.
