Hi, Vlad,
Glad to see so much interest in VD props. I wrote an article in the
2003 Sympo hoping anyone interested would find any needed info there,
but it seems that the Sympo is not usual reading material for the
indoor crowd. The drawing of the hinge in this article is quite
accurate. As a reference in scaling, the spar is .090 X.060.

I was glad to find when the 55cm planes came along that the same
18/22" VD prop I had been using on 65cm planes worked just fine on
the new 55cm jobs even though the open prop was longer than the wings!

I'm using 9 1/4" motors with the 18/22" VD in Johnson City and 9 1/2"
motors in Slanic with 19 1/2" fixed pitch props. My VD props
generally weigh about .23 grams. I suggest reading the Sympo article
for further info. If you don't have it, I'll send you a copy if
you'll give me your mailing address.

Jim
