Taper the top of the stick.

My guess is that then ends of the stick will be 1/8" wide x 3/16" high which means that both height and thickness are tapered.

I'm currently building a Cezar Banls LPP. The motor stick is 3/16" x
1/4" and he says to taper both ends to 1/8" x 3/16". I'm not sure what
gets tapered to what and where should the taper start ? I presume that
the bottom of the motor stick stays straight and the tapers are on the
top side (though my gut tells me the top should stay straight) - right or
wrong ? If the bottom tapers how do I manage the thrust line ?
  Questions, questions, questions !!!
