It seems pretty normal to me...here's why.
The helix you're trying to form into your blades has a nonzero surface
curvature.
Your LPP blades are probably pretty wide, so you're trying to form
quite a bit of stress into the blades. The spar line has a curve in it
because you will never get as much negative curvature into the flat
blades as the block has. It's warping to relieve those formed in
internal stresses.
How thick/dense is your prop wood and how long are you soaking it?
Thinner wood, soaking for longer, and/or leaving the blades on the
block longer (try a week, seriously) might help a little.
