As Mark stated, is not against the rules, but I belive
the extra area of the fairing cover has to be considered
as part of the wing area.

I was thinking about this, and there is a way to turn
th 1/16 sq LE into a rounded one...

Place a round (dia 1/16") form in front of LE, all along it.
Do not glue, just hold in place, now cover as usual with
condenser paper (or your favorite cover), and when you
reach the LE, atach the CD on the botom, so the CD takes
the shape of the round form. Finally, slip the round form to
a side.

Here is an image if what I mean:

straight and consistent across the whole wing span. The one I did was
my first and only try. Probably there is a way to do it better.

disrupt the airflow over top of the wing?
