I used to do this too, but have graduated to using a new, sharp
scalpel blade in a handle for everything except props. this is much
more manuoverable than a razor blade and its very easy to trim
Y2K2/Y2K/OS to within 2.00 mm of the edge of any component - try it
and see. I haven't torn film once and the edges are nice and clean and
easier to neaten up.
