If you read the Yahoo group transfer instructions on groups.io, that premium membership IS required or nothing will happen. I know months ago this transfer was free, but apparently groups.io got a heads up on the closing of Yahoo groups and added the fee to prevent many transfers.

 

 I am trying to combine several free flight groups into 1 on groups.io. These yahoo groups: merlin236, merlin236a, ffcookup, guillowsbuilders, guillows_g_challenge and dimescale. The files are not too great a difficulty to move by hand, but the messages and photos are going to be lost. Over 5000 photos of free flight models! Dang!!!!
