Hi,

Here is my two cents worth of infor.   I built a small vacuum bag from a zip lock plastic bag and some parts found in the plumbing department in  a large discount hardware store like Menards or Home Depot.    Picture is attached.   All material to construct this bag was under 10 bucks, it is usable and works great.

Hope this helps,
Kurt

This sort of pump will pull 24” easily. Is what I use normally for my stuff, like Leo’s mold.
For a hot box, you can use a cooler.
Temp controllers are common now- any tungsten filament light bulb makes an excellent heat source. Ceramic bulb holder and extension cord.
3-4mil plastic and cheap caulk for a seal and you have a great cheap vacuum bag. Use the cheapest felt you can find for breather cloth, or even paper towels.
