It is completely wrong to assume that not having may 99 rubber will prevent
you from being able to be a successful F1D flyer. There is so many good
rubber around and is more than than adequate to fly well. 5/99 is not a
requirement! And good wood, That is available to anybody . Nick Aickman
will help you or you can search and cut and sand yourself.
Don’t use 5/99 as an excuse! Btw, the day that 5/99 will deteriorate is
coming closer, will it be still good in 5 year time? For sure it will not
get better. More likely this almost 20 year old rubber will slowly
deteriorate.
Keep in mind that fun is still the reason why people fly.
