There is no answer for this, other than at some point in the not too distant future, May 99 will deteriorate to the point where it is no longer competitive.

There will always be rubber that is 1-2% better than other batches. Banning May 99 isn't an answer here.
And pay attention to other batches too. There was recently a sale on this group of 10/97, the same rubber used to break records in Europe. And it didn't go for hundreds per pound either. There are other batches that are excellent. Find them and use them.
