I usually have exchanges like this privately rather than on a public forum. However, the BOM issue is much too important not do have everything said and done publicly and in the most transparent way possible. I had hoped that after nearly a week of reflection you might come you understand that dismissive and incendiary replies or posts add nothing to your publicly stated desire "to thoughtfully consider the Builder of the Model Rule.""

Dismissive? You mean like this? "Don,

You owe an apology to every AMA indoor modeler in areas other than District IX. Although you were appointed to the Indoor Contest Board by the Vice-President elected by and from District IX, you do not represent only those indoor modelers in District IX."

You owe Don the apology. You started it with the "dismissive and incendiary" replies.

"A vp hub is thought by some to be a rite-of-passage for competing (notice that I say competing, not flying) in three of the four FAI rubber powered classes."

To borrow a now popular phrase, I call BS. And apparently so do roughly 85% of F1D world championship entrants, by your own admission.

You want to talk incendiary? Let's talk about Kagan starting an internet petition to disqualify 85% of the participants in this world championship. That is incendiary. Suggesting that we eliminate BOM as an experiment for a beginner's event that Don himself helped craft and whose clubmate makes most of the kits purchased for said event, now that's something worth considering.
