Re: Are you coming to Kibbie?
We usually fly to Spokane and then drive 1.5 hours to moscow. I believe Tony Hebb and others have driven all the way from Seattle which is an option but is a long drive.
They only really ever take the box from you on small commuter planes where the overhead space is small. When this has happened, I have not had any problems. The one thing you want to ask the guy at the end of the jet bridge to do is to walk it down the stairs instead of putting it down the little chute/slide. I've always gotten the box back unharmed this way.
I usually fly Southwest for domestic flights (which are all 737s) so overhead space isn't a problem.

The airport in Spokane seems to know about the models - at least when several of us come through around the same time. I've made the trip to Kibbie through Spokane quite a few times now, and it's always been easy (knock on wood)
